Tohe · to persist, to strive · in development

The bit Apple forgot: a plan.

Tohe is for people who want structured, science-backed cardio training that fits their life — not classes, not choreography, not a destination app you stare at. Tohe thinks, explains, and hands the workout to your watch. The training happens outside.

A calm, honest coach

Every screen in Tohe is built to behave like a good coach: quiet most of the time, direct when it matters, never guilt, never confetti-cannon gamification. If a session moves, Tohe tells you why in one line. If you disappear for a week, it doesn't lecture — it waits, and when you're back, it rebuilds the way in. A notification is information, never a summons.

What it does

The plan

A living two-week window

Tohe plans in real training blocks — build, recover, benchmark — and keeps an always-current view of this week and next. The plan adapts to what actually happened: sessions completed, moved, or dropped all feed back in, and every change comes with its reason.

The watch

Workouts on your wrist

Each session compiles to a native Apple Watch workout — warm-up, intervals, targets, the lot. Start it from your watch and go. Tohe stays in your pocket, where a plan belongs.

Progress

Fitter, honestly measured

"Fitter" rarely means "faster" — so Tohe leads with what genuinely moves: efficiency (output per heartbeat), aerobic durability, and thresholds, with speed PRs as a quiet sidebar. Every chart explains itself in one sentence, and every number comes from measured effort, never wishes.

The family

Knows about leg day

Tohe reads your strength schedule from Kaha and spaces hard cardio away from big lifting days automatically. One body, one coherent week.

Honesty

Rest is coached too

Rest days aren't blank days. Tohe explains what recovery is doing for you, what's worth doing (a genuinely easy walk) and what isn't — every tip defensible sports science, in the same calm voice.

Your data

Private by architecture

Tohe works with Apple Health and syncs through your own iCloud. No accounts, no profiles, no leaderboards — your training history is yours.

Platforms

Tohe is being built natively for iPhone and iPad, with workouts delivered to Apple Watch through Apple's native Workout app.

Status: Tohe is in active development and daily training use in New Zealand. It will come to the App Store when it's ready. To hear when, email ben@apexlabs.co.nz with the subject "Tohe".
